We’re Vanessa, Marty, Louie and Leo

A Dutch-Australian family travelling full-time since August 2026.

We left the Netherlands with a nine-year-old, a toddler and a lot of questions. Since then we’ve lived in Da Nang and Ninh Binh, and we’re writing this from Hanoi. Next comes Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island, then Chiang Mai for the rest of 2026. 🌏

Worldly Tribe started as a way to answer the questions we couldn’t find honest answers to. What does it really cost? How does school work? Will the Wi-Fi hold up on a work day? We share what works for our family, and what doesn’t.

I’ve also spent eight years as a copywriter and marketer in the travel industry. So I know both sides: what brands need from a partnership, and what makes a reader trust a recommendation.

The partnerships that excite us most make family travel easier. A cycling route Louie can keep up on. A market tour or vegetarian cooking class that works with a two-year-old. A stay where Leo can nap while Marty works. If your brand fits that picture, we’d love to hear from you.

Who Reads Worldly Tribe

Our readers are families planning, starting or already living a location-independent life. Most aren’t looking for a holiday. They’re working out whether their family could actually live abroad, and how.

That means they’re researching:

  • Visas and residency rules
  • Real costs and family budgets
  • Accommodation for longer stays
  • Schooling, homeschooling and worldschooling
  • Remote work, internet and coworking
  • Health insurance, money and travel gear

Where they’re searching from: according to Google Search Console, most people who find us through search are in the United States. The United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and Canada follow, along with the Netherlands, Spain and India. Our pages have appeared in searches in more than 200 countries and territories.

We’re still a young, growing site, and we’d rather be upfront about that. Full figures for the website, newsletter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest are in our media kit, which we’re happy to send on request.

Ways to Work Together

Sponsored content

We write story-led articles that show how your product or service fits into real family life on the road. We include the practical details families need, like costs, logistics and what the kids thought. That includes the parts that didn’t go to plan.

Press trips and family stays

Tourism boards, accommodation providers and tour operators: we’re in northern Vietnam until late 2026, then Chiang Mai, Thailand. Our 2027 plans are still open. We cover destinations the way families actually experience them: nap times, heat, food for picky eaters, and whether a place works for longer stays.

Newsletter and Instagram

We’re open to newsletter sponsorships and Instagram content when the fit is right. Our newsletter goes to families who’ve signed up for practical ideas about travelling, learning and living abroad.

Copywriting and content for your brand

Need blog posts, destination guides or website copy for your own channels? I’ve written for the travel industry for eight years. I write long-form, search-friendly content that sounds human, for brands working with travelling families and remote workers.

Directory listings

Running a worldschooling hub, co-living space or family-friendly coworking spot? Ask about a listing in our Worldschooling Hubs Directory, which now covers more than 420 hubs and communities. Online schools, curriculum providers and learning programs can join our Online Programs Directory. Both are free to be listed in at the moment.

Affiliate partnerships

We work with a small number of affiliate partners. We only include products and services we use or have researched carefully, and we always say which is which.

Examples of Our Work

The best way to see how we write is to read a few guides. These show the depth and honesty we bring to every topic:

How a Collaboration Works

  1. Get in touch. Tell us about your brand and what you have in mind.
  2. We check the fit. If it doesn’t suit our readers, we’ll say so honestly.
  3. We agree the details. Deliverables, timing and rates are agreed upfront. Our rates are available on request.
  4. We create the content. You can review it for factual accuracy before it goes live. Opinions and the overall angle stay ours.
  5. We publish with clear labels. Sponsored content and affiliate links are always disclosed, and paid links are marked for Google.

Share Your Family’s Story

You don’t need to be a brand to work with us. 💛

We’re starting to feature families who travel, worldschool or live abroad with their kids. Every family does this differently, and real examples help others picture what could work for them.

We’d love to hear from families who:

  • Travel together or live location-independently
  • Put curiosity, learning and connection at the heart of family life
  • Are honest about the hard parts as well as the highlights

How to take part: fill in our family questionnaire, or send us a message through our contact form. Tell us where you’re based, a little about your journey and your favourite place so far. A few good-quality photos help too.

What We Won’t Do

  • Promote anything that doesn’t match our values or our readers’ needs
  • Write about experiences we haven’t had as if we had
  • Hide that content is paid or that a link earns us commission
  • Publish paid links without the correct label for Google

FAQs

Can we see your media kit?

Yes. Send us a message through our contact page and we’ll email it to you. It includes our current website, newsletter and social figures.

How much do you charge?

It depends on the scope: one article, a series, a stay or a newsletter feature. We share rates on request once we understand what you need.

Where are you travelling next?

We’re in northern Vietnam until late 2026, including Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island. From there we’re heading to Chiang Mai, Thailand, for the rest of the year. Plans for 2027 are still open.

Is it free to be listed in your directories?

Yes, for now. Listings in our Worldschooling Hubs Directory and Online Programs Directory are currently free.

Can you write content for our own website?

Yes. I have eight years’ experience as a travel industry copywriter, and I write for brands as well as for Worldly Tribe.

Will sponsored posts be labelled?

Always. Readers trust us because we’re open about it, and that trust is also what makes a partnership worth it for you.

How quickly do you reply?

As soon as we can. We’re on the road with two kids, so it isn’t always the same day, but we do get back to everyone.

Get in Touch

We’re not a media company, and we won’t pretend to be. We’re a family working out this life one destination at a time, and sharing it so other families can decide if it could work for them.

If your brand helps families travel a little easier, let’s talk. 📩 Send us a message through our contact form.
